Since 1994 the membership of the floor and the areas of practice have expanded considerably. Whilst industrial law, employment law, occupational health and safety law and negligence and professional negligence law remain significant areas of legal practice at Denman Chambers, the barristers on the floor now practice in almost every jurisdiction. Ian Latham presented a seminar at the Law Society of NSW on 12 March 2103 entitled “Hot Topics in the Workplace”.
This paper covered a wide range of topics of changes to workplace law including adverse action claims, sexual harassment, unfair dismissals, Work Health and Safety and other legislative changes.
