Ian Latham studied Arts and Law at the Australian National University.

Ian Latham specialises in industrial and employment law.  He has appeared in a number of important industrial cases including the Tristar litigation, the first case about the Independent Contractors Act, the first case about the sham contractor provisions and a major case about accessorial liability.  Ian writes for the Butterworths Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and NSW Industrial Relations Act, 1996 looseleaf services. Ian also writes articles and on industrial and employment law and Australian Rules football.
