After graduating from the University of Sydney with an LLB (Hons,1st Class) in 2001, Elizabeth worked at Blake Dawson. She practiced in the areas of Property & Projects/Tourism and Commercial Litigation, which included involvement in the HIH litigation and HIH Royal Commission.

From 2003, Elizabeth worked for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions where she prosecuted a broad range of matters for over 8 years. As a Senior Legal Officer, she was involved in a number of complex, high profile Counter Terrorism trials including the state’s longest running jury trial. Elizabeth also worked in criminal assets confiscation, where she specialized in ex-parte applications for interim restraining orders. Elizabeth conducted fraud, taxation and bankruptcy prosecutions as well as large commercial matters arising under the Corporations Act.

Before becoming a lawyer, Elizabeth did postgraduate research and part time tutoring in American History at the University of Sydney, having graduated from that institution with a BA (Hons, 1st Class). She went on to enjoy teaching history in public and independent secondary schools. Her passion for history remains.

Elizabeth was called to the Bar and joined Denman Chambers in 2011.
