Aaron was called to the Bar in 2009 and practises in all areas of the law with a particular interest in employment and industrial law and crime. Aaron has extensive experience in industrial and employment law having been Associate to Justice Marshall of the Federal Court of Australia, a Legal and Policy Officer in the Commonwealth Department of Workplace Relations and worked as National Industrial and Legal Officer with the Finance Sector Union of Australia in its long running Federal Court litigation against the Commonwealth Bank and disputation with CommSec.

Aaron has also appeared regularly in the AIRC, NSWIRC and Chief Industrial Magistrate’s Court representing employees in a range of industrial and employment matters. More recently he managed the Legal and Industrial Group of the United Services Union where he successfully negotiated the Local Government (State) Award 2007; drafted and implemented significant amendments to the Union’s Rules; and coordinated legal and industrial responses to the WorkChoices legislation, culminating in the de corporatisation of New South Wales Local Government.

Aaron is a contributor to National Workplace Relations and Australian Resource Law Reports.

In his spare time you can find him swimming somewhere off the East Coast competing in long distance ocean races.
