Daniel graduated from UTS with an LL.B (Hons) in 1997 and from Griffith University with a B.Com in 1989.  Prior to commencing practising in the law, Daniel was an employed official with the Electrical Trades Union of Australia (NSW Branch) for 1 year and then with the Communications, Electrical and Plumbing Union (Electrical Division, National Office) for 9 years.

In 2001 Daniel began practice as a solicitor for Turner Freeman Lawyers, working in the area of Industrial/Employment, Commercial and Sports Law.  In 2005 Daniel was accredited as a specialist in the area of Industrial and Employment Law by the Law Society of New South Wales, 1 of only approximately 35 in New South Wales at the time.

He was called to the Bar in 2009 and has practised from Denman Chambers since that time. Daniel has more than 20 years experience in appearing before various State and National Industrial Tribunals and Courts in his role as a union official, solicitor and barrister as well as providing advice to employees, trade unions and employers.

Additionally, Daniel as a solicitor and then barrister has 10 years experience in appearing before various Courts and Tribunals as well as providing advice to individuals and corporations in relation to Commercial, Equity and Sports Law matters
